A group women artists living or working in the West Midlands have collaborated to create an exhibition of contemporary art. As the title of the exhibition suggests they are all working in spaces they have created for themselves, wherever they might be - in or out of the home environment...

Take 13 includes full time professional artists while others are dedicated artists who combine their artwork with other commitments, including jobs, family and home. They have come together as 'like minds' to support each other and share in what can often be an isolated occupation.

The group is diverse in the work they offer, ranging from painting, both abstract and representational, printmaking and textiles to mosaics, sculpture and mixed media work. The exhibition also includes images of all the artists at work in their studios, offering a rare opportunity to see the spaces in which the work on display was created.
