Simon Brett’s latest book, his 81^st, is a comedy thriller, Blotto, Twinks and the Dead Dowager Duchess, Blotto (aka the Rt Hon Devereux Lyminster, the Dowager’s son) and Twinks being brother and sister. Many of his crime books have featured the detectives Charles Paris and Mrs Pargeter. Charles Paris (played by Bill Nighy) recently featured in 3 radio comedies written for BBC Radio 4.

Simon Brett is also the author of the radio and TV series, After Henry. Last year he wrote the script for A Story Set In Stone, a son et lumiere to celebrate 900 years of Chichester Cathedral. “Tickled to Death” is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face – Simon Brett is one of the funniest speakers you could find. But there are things that go bump in the night as well…….
