Acting For TV and Screen

Led by professional director, cameraman and filmmaker Jeff Grant from Arena Productions this course offers a foundation in the acting techniques required for building a great on-screen performance.

Acting for camera is all about teamwork. Alongside the actors are the cameraman, lighting, sound personnel and a whole host of other production issues that combine to create that screen presence. It differs from stage acting in that it is less about projection and more about a focussed performance, often repeating a scene for shooting from different angles.

Whether you are an actor looking to expand your skill set, a director wanting to gain tips or if you’d just like to have a go, then join us for this course which will include improvisation and filming in a studio setting.

You will have the opportunity each week to view your performances on screen and if you stay for the full 10 week course you will leave with material suitable to use in an audition showreel.

£75 for half a term ( 5 weeks ) - full term is 10 weeks
