Stand Up for Women with Barbara Nice & Shazia Mirza

This March Artrix is celebrating International Women’s Day with a comedy show, Stand Up for Women, featuring housewife extraordinaire, Barbara Nice, the alter ego of Holy Mary from Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights. According to The Times, Barbara Nice is A hybrid between Victoria Wood and Mrs Merton.

Not satisfied with having had her own sitcom on BBC Radio, Barbara is planning on getting the 144 bus and heading to Bromsgrove for an evening’s entertainment alongside up and coming comedian Les Kershaw (‘The filthy daughter of Thora Hird’ – Janey Godley) and one of the UK’s busiest comics and Celebrity Island survivor Shazia Mirza (‘Shazia Mirza is provoking laughter and large intakes of breath once again … brave and urgent’ - The Telegraph). Hosting the evening will be MY Comedy’s resident MC, Maureen Younger (‘one of the best MCs in the country’ – Jo Enright).
