Antonio Jose Sonata for Guitar (1933)

Following his visits to us in 2014 and 2016, we are delighted to welcome Craig Ogden back to Bromsgrove again with another fascinating programme.  Lutenist Weiss was an almost exact contemporary of Bach, but based mainly in Dresden.  Antonio Jose was considered by Ravel to be the 'future of Spanish Music', but died, aged only 34, shortly after his Sonata was written.  Nigel Westlake is a contemporary Australian composer.

Concessionary tickets: registered, disabled, unemployed, students £5
