Drawn from the Wood
An Exhibition by Robin Shaw
Robin Shaw tells story of Hanbury Woods in black and white drawings together with a narrative which draws on the history and ecology of the area. The woods are situated on Piper’s Hill. This was once common land - Dodderhill Common. With over 250 veteran trees the woods are of national importance. And it is the three hundred year old sweet chestnuts, venerable in their decrepitude, which first inspired Robin to start his series of drawings.
