Hill & Dolphin: Views on Colour

Hill & Dolphin: Views on Colour

A collaborative exhibition by Bromsgrove artists, Lorna Hill and Dave Dolphin

Lorna Hill and Dave Dolphin are friends who have admired and respected each other’s artwork over a long period of time.

Both being supporters of the local art scene, they first met whilst studying water colour painting at Heart of Worcestershire College (then NEW College).

Their joint exhibition showcases their development as individual artists with paintings which complement each other in their use of colour whilst contrasting in styles. Their well-loved themes range from rusted motors and humorous characters to stylized birds, trees, flowers and landscapes.

Dave specialises in characterful, loose application of  water colour whilst Lorna’s work includes the use of various painting mediums in styles ranging from fractured through to realism.

Tuesday 2nd April - Sunday 2nd June 2019

The Artrix gallery brings the best in challenging new work to Bromsgrove in its monthly exhibition programme of 2D, 3D and mixed media artwork.  Admission is free and is open 9am - 2pm Monday to Friday, 10am-2pm Saturday and on performances evenings.

The exhibition space is fully booked until 2020 so we aren't taking applications for new exhibitions.
