Jo Jo Rabbit 12A

with Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie, Scarlett Johansson. Running time 108 minutes + trailers.

Writer-director Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) brings his signature irreverence and pathos to this riotously funny World War II-era satire featuring Scarlett Johansson, Stephen Merchant and Sam Rockwell. Lonely young boy Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) is an eager member of the Hitler Youth, his imaginary friend none other than Adolf Hitler himself. But when he discovers his mother (Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their house, he’s forced to reconsider his beliefs. Tackling racism and nationalism head on, Jojo Rabbit is a timely and audacious black comedy.
