Pop-Up Theatre

We are a not for profit company based in Stourbridge, producing ‘Pop Up’ Theatre events that creatively adapt, retell and rework texts; designed to showcase new and emerging actors from the Midlands. Our commitment to ‘keeping it local’ means that we are able to cultivate a working exchange, not only with the actors themselves but in addition new, diverse and exciting performance spaces. We currently have a residency at claptrapthevenue and are associate artists of Artrix Art Centre.

When a university professor is accused of sexual exploitation by one of their students, the professor hopes that they can resolve the matter privately.  The accusation threatens the professors proposed tenure but the student refuses to withdraw the complaint.  Pop Up Theatre presents a creative retelling of Mamet's two hander - subverting the narrative and inviting the audience to consider the thematic construct of Power as apposed to Gender.

Monday 22nd April 2019 at 7.30pm - In The Studio

This event is part of the ARTRIX EASTER WEEKENDER - a chilled out weekend of live music, film and family activities across all our spaces. Join us for some or all of the weekend, and experience a taster of all that Artrix has to offer!
